Rock'n'Roll Clowns

Hey there Rockers,
Seeing the recent Batman flick gave me pang of nostalgia. Heath Ledger gave the performance of his short life (no pun intended) and finally gave credence to the Bat's arch-nemesis, the Joker. It was the Joker's warped-looking face paint that had me all gooey-eyed and it made me think of another bunch of clowns that used to be at the top of the rock'n'roll / sideshow tree. They were: Clowns Of Decadence.
Not only were COD brilliant musicians, they also had the best stage act around. Flame throwing, juggling, sword swallowing and other feats of carnival curiosities that had the crowd going wild. All this added to the most unique blend of macabre rock/jazz/funk ever to be played. It was an amazing show.
Hailing from Adelaide, COD entertained fans all over Oz. I was lucky enough to be at the Barwon Club, Geelong, one night in July '94 when they played. Our band had scored the support gig and COD were like nothing I had ever seen - they were amazing. The whole performance was sureal. The music, the theatrics - it was like being inside a musical circus. You had to be see them to trully understand. There has never been a band like them and propably never will. I trolled the'net in search of some rare footage of the guys in action. The following video is all I could find. This is my tribute to one of the greatest and extremely unique bands of all-time.

I dont know what possesed me yesterday, but i decided to google them.. i will be on the lookout for any footage, or live recordings of them, as i thought they were F%$#ing brilliant.
I have worked in the music scene nationally since '92, and seen some amazing acts, but they definately had something that you will never see again....
I went and saw them play in melb, adel, syd and even upto bris once.... dont get me wrong, i didnt follow them, although they were worth following to see, but happened to be in the same place, at the sam time.
i introduced a few bands and other friends to these guys shows, and everyone that i know that ever saw them play, was amazed....
would love to see them reform... (could it ever happen???) i have all the CD's, but i love the live show more, and want to get some serious footage... these guys rocked every show they played....
