With a similar passion for songwriting and musical influences, the four punksters site Black Sabbath, MC5, The Clash and Foo Fighters as inspiration. In their short life, Sederra have already taken to the stage with Unwritten Law, The Draft, Gaslight Anthem and legends of punk/ pop, Lagwagon.
Guitarist/Vocalist Tom Schmitt states, “We like strong hooks and catchy melodies and encourage listeners to dance, sing and enjoy themselves. Sederra’s sonic reach is vast.” Bassist Eric Bootow adds, “Our vision is to take the power, energy and raw power of punk rock and hardcore and infuse it with a raw rock sound.”
To me, Sederra’s sound is chunky hard rock with over-riding melodies that make the listener feel like jumping up and bopping along. They remind me a lot of Aussie band, Bodyjar, and that’s a good thing.
Sederra are: Tom Schmitt – guitar/vocals, Mike Doherty – guitar, Eric Bootow – bass and Darren Reynolds – drums.
