ChunA mermaid, a dolphin and me!

Being the sci-fi geek that I am, I was always into Japanese animation. Gigantor, Prince Planet, Astro Boy - they were all cool. But none of them came close to Marine Boy. Let's face it, this guy had it all. He could swim and breathe under water, he had a pet dolphin and his girlfriend was a mermaid. Yes a mermaid. I know I'm not the only person on this planet to have had a fantasy or two about those sultry sirens of the sea.
If that's not a reason to take up deep sea diving, I don't know what is. OK, so I'm surfing my favourite break one balmy Spring afternoon when the wind chops up pretty fierce. I paddle over the lip of a tubing 6 footer and I'm about to stand on my board when the nose dives and I'm thrown into the pounding foam. I don't remember anything else except waking up to find a rather pretty girl nursing me. Did I say girl? Well, after opening my eyes fully I discovered that not only was she naked, she also had a tail that would make a sea-lion jealous. Not trying to appear too spooked by this, I get up and look around. I'm in some sort of cave. The most bizarre thing of all is that the cave is under water and I'm alive. The girl speaks to me but I don't uderstand what she's saying and yet I don't care. Now, a white dolphin appears and he nudges me with his nose. This is so cool. I want to stay.
